The Purpose of The Board Of Literacy is to provide free financial literacy education to underprivileged and at-risk youth. Our goal is to foster environments with an entrepreneurial spirit through mentoring training and equipping youth and their families with free tools and access to resources which teach them how to leave Legacies for future generations to come.
Said organization is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations described under Section 501(c)(3) of the internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
The Board of Literacy comes on-site to provide free Financial Literacy to Youth ages 13 – 18 who reside in 75216 through our program partnered with Community Youth Development (CYD).
Community Council of Greater Dallas (CCGD) has selected The Board of Literacy (TBOL) nonprofit charity as a vendor for the school year 2019 to provide financial literacy to the community. Our free literacy and education is provided in the hopes that participants will be able to ask economic and financial based questions and give commentary which will enhance their understanding and capacity of their financial literacy education goals.

We have free weekly Financial Literacy conference calls.
You are invited to our free monthly Financial Literacy Townhalls and Workshops
We will obtain everyone’s schedules to set up personalized group sessions
We will send out consistent communications about Financial Literacy
We will check on the youth via our C.A.S.E. app program
We will make school or organization visits as availability allows
We will offer Financial Literacy to families once per month
ALL YOUTH MUST REGISTER AND SIGN IN TO PARTICIPATE
PARENTS MUST SIGN THE REGISTRATION FORM
YOUTH MUST BE WILLING TO PARTICIPATE FULLY
We are open to come to you. You can come to us. We work out of the CYD office in Dallas, Texas 75216, Dallas Central Library, Microsoft Campus Irving, Texas and Townview Highschool.
We also host virtual trainings, webinars, calls and conferences for the convenience of transportation challenges.
